Last night I attended an excellent continuing study of The 5000 Year Leap presented by Jim Logan and the Pearland TEA Party. It is eye-opening and riveting. Our next session will be held on Tuesday, October 8 at 6:30 pm. I was able to talk with Josh Daniels, who works for Congressman Pete Olson, after the event about some statements he made about Congress. Josh was pointing out symptoms of the political process (gerrymandering, etc.) and calling the symptoms the problem. This is the same cop-out you hear from our elected officials.
I stated I don’t believe the problems exist because of a process, but because in this country, we do NOT have Principle 3: The most promising method of securing a virtuous and morally stable people is to elect virtuous leaders. Continue reading
