Obamacare vs Principles of the Republic

Somedays it is difficult to limit the areas that Federal Government has violated in relation to our founding principles but this week there are actually a couple that stand out above all else. This is no where more prevalent than in the debate over the disaster called Obamacare. First and foremost as I watched the so-called debates this morning between the weak minded and sometimes dishonest politicians and political pundits on television it became very apparent ‘Fair and Balanced’ does not mean ‘Accurate and Truthful’ nor truly a Debate.

If you start at the very top of the 5000 Year Leap you first come to the Moral and Virtuous Leader section and again see that the Marxist crowd led by Obama and Harry Reid are no more moral and virtuous than Hugo Chavez was when he used the same tactics to send Venezuela into the Economic Toilet of nationalization. They throw out straw man arguments that the law was passed by the Congress, signed by the President, and upheld by the Supreme Court. What they don’t really address is the concern is it Really Constitutional? What they don’t address is how they justify the Presidents BOLD Lies, well documented on Television, that everyone could keep what they like currently with their Health Care. And lastly if it is so necessary and important why are they not bound by it? Impeachment would be in order but the question behind that is where would it stop? The Progressive Republicans such as John McCain are just as at fault as Obama and his band of Thugs.

Running down the list then would be the violation of the Free Market. Most that are awake now realize we have not operated under a free market system since around 1913. But just to re-enforce how far we have fallen ask the politicians where they are authorized at all to engage in this intrusion of the Market Place? Government’s role in the Free Market is not to force you to buy products and services that you do not want but to protect you from Illegal Force, Fraud, Monopoly and Debauchery. If you really put on the Critical Thinking cap it is now apparent they are themselves perpetrating the very acts they are charged with preventing. They in the end intend to create a Government Monopoly on Health Care by using the Force of the IRS to insure that the American Public falls in line with their Fraudulent Propaganda about the ‘Fairness’ involved in the immoral purchase of Insurance to support activities like Abortion!

Lastly when the American people try to actually have the Government work in the Manner intended by the Founders through Checks and Balances, by sending True Public Servants to Washington D.C. such as Ted Cruz, the Propaganda Media and the Marxists start the Alinsky tactics of personal attacks. Instead of a Defender of Liberty, he and his supporters are subjected to the modern equivalent of a ‘tarring and feathering’ by labeling them as the Anarchists. Discussions of the Constitution and the American Publics Rights are no longer present in the Media Arena.

Which I suppose brings us to the two most important Principles that seem to be being lost in relation to our Republic; the need for a Moral and Virtuous People as well as the need for an Educated Electorate. It is hard to imagine how so many ‘Americans’ can turn a blind eye to the erosion of their rights or what is worse go on Public Television and try to provide ‘political spin’ to cover the lies and corruption present in the halls of power that a few short years ago they were all to happy to point out in a different administration. But I suspect it falls lastly to the failure of our country to take seriously the education of what our rights are and how important it is to protect them from abuse. In the end they don’t realize that once you start down the slippery slope of socialism it always ends the same way and there is 5000 years of history to prove it.

Modern Government – – Looters by Law?

“When a society establishes criminals-by-right and looters-by-law—men who use force to seize the wealth of disarmed victims—then money becomes its creators’ avenger. Such looters believe it safe to rob defenseless men, once they’ve passed a law to disarm them. But their loot becomes the magnet for other looters, who get it from them as they got it. Then the race goes, not to the ablest at production, but to those most ruthless at brutality. When force is the standard, the murderer wins over the pickpocket.” | Atlas Shrugged

Observations on the Free Market Economy

September 15th, 2013

After the Pearland TEA Party’s discussion on Thursday night I thought that it might be good to follow up with a summary of some key take aways in relation to events swirling around in the media today.

First a little reflection on the four Natural Laws of Free Market economics:

The Freedom to Try
The Freedom to Buy
The Freedom to Sell
The Freedom to Fail Continue reading

Governments Primary Functions

Government has three primary functions. It should provide for military defense of the nation. It should enforce contracts between individuals. It should protect citizens from crimes against themselves or their property. When government– in pursuit of good intentions tries to rearrange the economy, legislate morality, or help special interests, the cost come in inefficiency, lack of motivation, and loss of freedom. Government should be a referee, not an active player.” –Milton Friedman
